Pair of 19th c. Sailor-Made Braided Rope Beckets on frame

Pair of 19th c. Sailor-Made Braided Rope Beckets, red, white and blue painted surface, with Turk's Head knots and leather washers. The carved and painted brackets are mounted on a rope-trimmed whitewashed wooden board.  Found in Maine

Approximate Dimensions:  Beckets only: 9 1/4" high, 5 1/4" wide. Brackets 8 ‘.Board: 15 1/4" x 16 1/4".

Condition: Minor paint losses to beckets as expected from age & use..
